Project-based or daily rate

When your legacy system blocks growth or you need to build something new without betting the business on a big-bang launch. I design the technical solution and migration approach, work with your team to evaluate trade-offs, and guide implementation to preserve architectural intent.

Engagement Format

Typically starts with 2-4 weeks of intensive architecture work, then ongoing involvement as needed during implementation.

Technical Leadership & Team Building

Retainer or daily rate

When your teams need guidance through complex challenges, you're establishing engineering practices, or you need help with technical hiring. I embed with your team, provide code reviews and architecture direction, coach developers, and help establish practices teams can maintain independently.

Engagement Format

Embedded 2-4 days per week. Minimum 3 months recommended for meaningful impact.

Developer Tooling & Practices

Project-based or retainer

When your teams lack modern development practices or the tools they built themselves aren't maintainable. I build CI/CD pipelines, development libraries, and CLI tools, introduce workflows and automation, then coach teams to maintain everything independently.

Engagement Format

Can be project-based (4-8 weeks) or ongoing partnership as your needs evolve.

How I Work

Understand first, then build. I don’t jump into solutions. I take time to understand the business problem, the constraints, and the goals before designing anything.

Build capability, not dependency. The tools and practices I introduce become yours. I coach your teams to maintain them independently.

Direct and honest. I’d rather have a difficult conversation early than let problems compound. That means challenging assumptions and identifying blind spots.

Working Together

I work with organizations in the Netherlands, either on-site or in a hybrid arrangement. For the right fit, I’m open to remote engagements with teams across Europe.
